Mount Redington
Elevation: 4,010 feet
Distance: 8.6 miles
Location: Redington
Mount Redington stands at an elevation of 4,010 feet and is one of the two New England 4,000-footers that lack maintained trails to the summit. However, due to its inclusion on the Maine 4,000-footers list, many hikers have ventured to conquer it, resulting in the creation of a herd path. This path resembles a trail and is relatively easy to follow in certain areas, but can be challenging in others. It’s important to note that this hike is a bushwhack, meaning there is no maintained trail to the summit of Redington. Therefore, it is crucial to attempt this hike only if you possess navigation skills and/or are familiar with bushwhacking techniques. Exercise caution and ensure you are well-prepared before embarking on this adventure.
