Access and Conservation
With over 50 people in attendance, it was a gathering of outdoor enthusiasts, local leaders, and community members and a great opportunity for the Alliance to share its mission.
Our presentation focused on:
-
Access: Sharing updates on projects like the Prescott Field Accessible Trail, regional motorized trails, the Fly Rod Crosby Trail, and the Sandy River Bridge.
-
Conservation: Highlighting our work to protect the ecological integrity of the region, including areas like Shiloh Pond, Perham Stream Birding Trail, and Barnjum.
-
Collaboration: Emphasizing the importance of working together through initiatives like the High Peaks Initiative and non-profits like the RRGSA.
We also shared insights from the “State of the High Peaks” reports. The data gathered is crucial for prioritizing conservation efforts and recreational asset development in the High Peaks region.

A Huge Thank You!
We want to extend a big thank you to Sonny Pierce and the Rangeley Region’s Guides and Sportsmen’s Association! Your hospitality and the warm welcome made it an incredible evening. The potluck was a testament to the strong sense of community in the Rangeley region, and we were honored to be a part of it. We felt right at home and look forward to the work our organizations can do together.
