As we look ahead to 2025, we have ambitious plans to expand conservation efforts and improve access to our trails and conservation areas.

A look ahead:

• CONSERVATION We’re currently exploring two potential land acquisitions that could significantly impact our community. We have a rare chance to conserve a true ‘Community Gem’ highlighted in the State of the High Peaks Report. Your support today will help us seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

• ACCESS In 2025, we’re excited to launch the High Peaks Regional Recreation Corps maintaining 100+ miles of trails! This initiative will allow us to steward the Perham Stream Birding Trail and Fly Rod Crosby Trails, the Maine Huts & Trails and the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust trail systems, and the Bigelow Reserve and High Peaks Keystones lands campsites and access points.

• COLLABORATION We believe that we are stronger together. That’s why we’ll continue collaborating with the High Peaks Initiative, hosting community forums to create a shared vision for sustainable recreation in our beautiful region. We’re also thrilled to announce we are partnering with the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce to co-host the High Peaks Outdoor Heritage Festival, where we’ll host the 2025 Maine Moose Lottery. It’ll be an outdoor heritage experience that reflects the spirit of the High Peaks region.
