December 13, 2024 – I thought you might be interested in what I saw this year. Just right here (in the yard and parking area) because I didn’t do many walks this year. I saw 10 species of mammals, 72 bird species, and 37 insect species.

Now I’ve only got 3-4 species I see every day. There are still Blue Jays, Mourning doves, Junco, Chickadee, and the nuthatches. I did hear Snow Buntings the other day. I didn’t see them though. I heard them. They chatter when they are in a group.

I saw a mink the other morning when I was putting the bird feeders out by the lilac, then he ran to the maple, and back toward the barn.
