You can mark Crocker Mountain, the fourth-highest peak in Maine, off your peak-bagging bucket list. Located in the Carrabassett Valley near Stratton, this mountain offers a unique hiking experience. The only trail to the summit is the Appalachian Trail, which can be reached through the more accessible Caribou Pond Road approach or Route 27. The trail gradually ascends 2,800 feet, making it a manageable and enjoyable climb.
