Conserved by the High Peaks Alliance, the Bernard and Jean Kinney Family Forest is located just minutes from downtown Farmington and is home to Mosher Hill Falls. It was recognized as a ‘Community Gem’ in the State of the High Peaks Report; this 199-acre community forest stands as a testament to local stewardship. It safeguards one of the region’s most impressive waterfalls: a 45-foot cascade. Beyond the falls, the property protects clean water sources and wildlife habitat, along with an informal trail that invites exploration year-round.

The Kinney Family Forest offers beauty, solitude, and natural wonder in every season. Come discover it and help us keep it wild and welcoming for generations to come.

Trailhead: 727 Mosher Hill Rd, Farmington
Parking: Available across the street from the trailhead
Trail Length: ~ 0.1 miles to the falls, 0.5 miles if you take the loop.
Trail Description: Informal streamside loop trail. Improvements to the trail surface, blazing, and signage are planned.
Difficulty: Moderate
Family Friendly: Yes, but supervise children closely around the falls and stream.
