We Need Your Help
High Peaks Alliance invites community members and outdoor enthusiasts to take part in a series of Volunteer Trail Work Days across the High Peaks Region this summer. These events offer a hands-on opportunity to support local trail systems while enjoying time outdoors and connecting with others who care about conservation and recreation access.
Led by Recreation Ranger Matt Kusper, volunteers will assist with trail maintenance, reroutes, and general upkeep to improve sustainability and accessibility across the region’s trail network. No prior experience is necessary—participants of all skill levels are welcome.
Volunteer Trail Work Days are scheduled as follows:
- June 12 (Rain Date: June 26) – Tumbledown, Brook Trailhead
- July 10 (Rain Date: July 17) – Fly Rod Crosby Trail, Saddleback Spur Trailhead
- August 21 (Rain Date: August 28) – Tumbledown, Loop Trailhead
- September 4 (Rain Date: September 18) – Perham Stream Birding Trail
Work days typically run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and volunteers are welcome to join for part or all of the day. Participants should bring long pants, sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, water, food, and any personal gear such as gloves or eye protection.
