Give Your Old Vehicle a New Purpose
High Peaks Alliance is pleased to announce Cars for Conservation, a new vehicle donation program created in partnership with Eastern Tire & Auto Service in Eastport.
Cars for Conservation gives community members a practical new way to support the places they care about. When an eligible car, truck, or SUV is donated through the program, Eastern Tire will assess and sell the vehicle, and the proceeds will support High Peaks Alliance’s conservation and stewardship work in Maine’s High Peaks.
From trail maintenance and habitat protection to land conservation and outdoor access, each donated vehicle can help keep the High Peaks wild, welcoming, and accessible for generations to come.
Give your vehicle a new purpose by supporting Maine’s High Peaks.

How it works
Getting started is simple:
- Contact Brent West at High Peaks Alliance with questions and a few details about your vehicle.
- Brent will help determine whether Cars for Conservation may be a fit.
If it is, Brent will connect you with Alvin at Eastern Tire & Auto Service to confirm acceptance and arrange delivery in Eastport. - Eastern Tire will assess and sell the vehicle, with proceeds supporting High Peaks Alliance.
- Cars for Conservation is generally intended for vehicles that are running, can be safely driven or moved, can pass Maine inspection or are reasonably repairable, and can be delivered to Eastern Tire in Eastport.
A Practical Way to Give Back
Vehicle-sale proceeds support High Peaks Alliance’s work to maintain trails, conserve land, protect wildlife habitat, restore damaged areas, and keep the High Peaks wild, welcoming, and accessible for generations to come.
If you have a vehicle that is ready for its next chapter, it may be able to support the places you care about most.
