Cars for Conservation

Donate an eligible vehicle through Cars for Conservation, and its sale proceeds will support trails, wildlife habitat, land conservation, and outdoor access in Maine’s High Peaks.

Give your vehicle a second life in Maine’s High Peaks

Cars for Conservation is a partnership between High Peaks Alliance and Eastern Tire & Auto Service in Eastport. Eastern Tire assesses and sells accepted vehicles, and 100 percent of the proceeds support High Peaks Alliance.

How it works

1. Talk with Brent

Contact Brent West with a few basic details about your vehicle. He can answer initial questions and help determine whether Cars for Conservation may be a fit.

2. Connect with Eastern Tire

If your vehicle appears to be eligible, Brent will connect you with Alvin at Eastern Tire & Auto Service to confirm acceptance and arrange delivery.

3. Support the High Peaks

Bring your accepted vehicle to Eastern Tire in Eastport. Eastern Tire handles the vehicle assessment and sale, and the proceeds support High Peaks Alliance.

Is your vehicle a fit?

Contact Brent West at 207-491-2750, [email protected], or via the button below. He can answer your initial questions, discuss your vehicle, and connect eligible donors with Eastern Tire & Auto Service for the next steps.

Cars for Conservation is generally a good fit for vehicles that:

  • Are running and can be safely driven or moved.
  • Can pass Maine inspection, or are reasonably repairable.
  • Can be delivered to Eastern Tire in Eastport.
  • Have the necessary ownership paperwork available for transfer.
