Building on Bridget's Impact
Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s tenth-year program chose the Alliance to host a paid conservation intern in 2026. That brings more hands to your favorite trails, stronger volunteer events, and tighter community ties across the High Peaks.
Last summer, 2025 intern Bridget Reusch powered up our trail work, volunteers, and outreach. The 2026 intern will keep that momentum rolling, diving into trail stewardship, volunteer coordination (leading workdays and training), conservation education (creating signage and social media content), data collection (tracking usage and erosion), and community events.
This nine-week paid gig ($18/hour) builds skills for new stewards. It directly supports our partnerships with Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust, Maine Huts & Trails, and the Bureau of Parks and Lands.
