Your Support in Action
We just sent out our latest membership appeal, and we couldn’t be more excited to share what your support is making possible right here in Maine’s High Peaks region. If you haven’t received your copy yet, check your mailbox – it’s packed with updates on the incredible conservation wins and trail improvements happening thanks to supporters like you.
We’re also asking for your support. This is your chance to leave a lasting legacy in the High Peaks. With the matching challenge in place, your support goes twice as far, helping us reach goals that will benefit the region for generations to come. If you’ve ever wanted to make a real impact on the places you love, there’s never been a better time.
Thank you for being part of this community and for all you do to protect and enhance Maine’s High Peaks. Your support truly is creating real change—today, tomorrow, and for years to come. Enjoy an overview of our latest projects below.

Community Gems Are Being Protected
Your past generosity has already secured an option agreement for Mosher Hill Falls near downtown Farmington – a stunning 45-foot waterfall that’s about to be protected forever. But we need to raise over $550,000 to complete this purchase, and time is of the essence. Places like this don’t wait – they’re either protected or lost.
We’re also partnering with the Trust for Public Land to conserve 1,065 acres of pristine wilderness along Reed Brook in Kingfield, right next to the beloved Shiloh Pond Community Forest. These aren’t just abstract conservation victories – they’re the places where you hike, explore, and find peace.
Mosher Hill Falls and Reed Brook are two of 22 locations named in the State of the High Peaks Reports as places for potential land conservation across the region.

Your Trails Are Getting Better
This summer, thanks to your support, five college students will spend 10 weeks maintaining and improving over 100 miles of trails through our High Peaks Recreation Ranger Corps. They’ll be building bog bridges to keep your feet dry, clearing overgrown sections, removing fallen trees, and fixing erosion problems. Every time you step onto a well-maintained trail this season, you’ll see your support at work.
Your Impact is Doubled Right Now
Here’s the exciting part: a generous donor is matching every gift dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000. That means your donation today will have twice the impact. Whether it’s $35 or $500, every dollar is working twice as hard to protect the places you love.
The Vision is Within Reach
Imagine more conserved lands, healthier forests, abundant wildlife, and meticulously maintained trails connecting our communities. Picture vibrant events bringing people together to celebrate our shared love for the outdoors. This isn’t just a dream – it’s the future we’re building together, one donation at a time.
