Saddleback Horn
Elevation: 4,023 feet Distance: 7.2 miles round-trip Location: Madrid
The Horn, a sub-peak of Saddleback Mountain (#5), reaches an elevation of 4,023 feet and serves as an excellent addition to a day hike of Saddleback. Hikers have multiple options to access the trails, including the access road from the ski resort, the Appalachian Trail (AT), or the Berry Picker’s Trail. On clear days, the summit treats hikers to stunning views of the ski resort and the surrounding area. However, it’s important to note that the top can often be shrouded in fog, so be prepared for potentially limited visibility.
